Help! game wont install!

game crashes after i try to install it.

ok, heres my issue. i put the first CD in, and i enter all the info and stuff, click next, choose the directory, all that good stuff, and when i click install, it takes me to this screen with 2 planets. it has no progress bar or anything. so i thought it crashed the first time, and rebooted my comp. i tried it again and it does the same thing, only this time i wait for it, and it eventually gives me the "operation has experienced a problem and must be shut down" crap, and asks me if i want to send an error report. so... what do i do?

The installer isn't working for you? I think they'd need to knwo a little bit about your computer. They use a pretty standard installer.

Are you using the default directory?

Check if there is enough room on your harddisk...you never know

What also works for me every now and then is to defragmentate your hard disk before installation. I had the same problem with a different game, this worked for me.

i defragged my HD, and i set it to the default directory.... still nothing. is there any hope?
