Copy protection!?

Hi,
I downloaded the game onto my computer at work and would like to install it on my home computer. It doesn't work becuase the game can't match the computer ID and the serial number or something like that. If there is no copy protection on the CD anyway and I need the serial number only for updates, is there a way to install the game on my home computer without the CD (which I will get in 1-2 weeks)?

Download the stardock central and download the game onto your home computer and install directly. It sounds like you tried to copy the game after it installed and put it on your home computer (don't ask how I know that). Just try to install it on your home computer (not copy the files over) and you should be fine. Or use the archive function to create installable discs (I think someone said in another post you could do this, though I'm not sure).

You should be able to use those files from work to install the game at home as well.

As I understand it, if you registered your serial to the account you're posting from here you should be able to download the game from the GalCiv2 folks?

You can also archive the game, at work, using stardock central. Then install Stardock Central at home copy the archive files over and retore them. Then you dont have to go through downloading it all again.
