Good morning...Finally got the builder to come out and take a look at the house..maybe now they'll start making the repairs, though I'm not going to hold my breath or anything. Oldest dd has come down with the crud, which sucks for her, as it is spring break, and now she is stuck in the house for the most part, while all her friends are getting to hang out together. Plenty to do around the house today: weed-eating, cleaning, organizing my yarn stash and getting busy on the hat exchange pieces, as well as my piece for the round robin I'm coordinating on the freeform list I belong to. Have one of the hat exchange pieces mailed off finally, and still have four or five more to make. Gonna try to get them done this week, in between working on the round robin piece. Supposed to be another beautiful day, with the temp up in the high sixties or low seventies...will make the yard work enjoyable, at least...well, as enjoyable as it can be.
My fiber journey is an odd one, as I tried to learn to crochet and knit when I was a kid, then taught myself when I had a kid...lol. Have since delved into trying many different styles, then got tired of following patterns, as it was always the same, over and over...then I discovered freeform, and I love it. It's renewed my love for crochet, and in the process, I have taught myself how to knit, as well. Nowhere near as good at knitting as I am at crochet, but good enough that I can add knit to my freeform work and have it look nice, and give it a little something different that I wouldn't have had without the knit. Jeepers, so much yarn, so little time...lol.
Hope everyone has a great day!
