My game crashes for no reason.

I can be playing my game quite hapilly but then for some reason it just crashes me back to the desktop some times it will do it after 3-5 mins other time i can play for 2-3 hours.

Provide details. Have you checked the Known Issue Thread https://forums.galciv2.com/?ForumID=274&AID=105107 ? If so, and you still have crashes after checking the things outlined in that thread, post your system specs, debug.err, and SmartException log (You can get SE from the 'Free Stuff' section of SDC, run it and if GC crashes while it's running it will save a log named galciv2.exe.cra; find it using the search in windows explorer and send it in).

I know this is not a solution, but at least less frustrating... And keep in mind i haven't yet tried the LATEST 1.0X im still using the pre-release.. I set my game to autosave after 0 turns, which in effect saves after each turn, so if it DOES crash, its only the one turn i have to replay.
