Quick question: I am playing this game on a widescreen laptop. Unfortunately everything is stretched. Any way to combat this?

yes, just change the resolotion of the game to the native resolution of you screen. I play on a wide screen 1440x900 and a wide screen 1920x1200 all the time ad it works great. As a mater of fact it works better becuse you have more room to design ships.
