How do I play as the dreadlords?

How do you play as the dreadlords?

Hi,

I have seen screenshots (such as here: http://www.nlgaming.com/showPic.asp?ShowPic=/games/3406/2-23-06.jpg) where the player is playing as the dreadlords but I don't have them as a choice of race.... How do I play as the dreadlords?

Unless a mod has been made that I don't know about you can not currently play as the Dreadlords. Also, as far as I know, there have been no announcements from stardock indicating that this will be a feature to be added in a later patch.

You can use a cheat to take over a race. In the campaigns.. you could try taking over them.

The player isn't playing as the dreadlords in that screenshot. He is just looking at one of their ships.

The aforementioned cheat shoud work. I think it's the same one that Frogboy said you could use to enable a sort of hot seat playing by taking control of an AI controlled race. There should be a forum on it created by Frogboy (in fact in the forum someone mentoned playing as the Dread Lords).
