Paint.Net: A Fast, Free Image Editor

It's like the GIMP, but with style!

Lifehacker (link) recently reviewed a new image editor called Paint.net. Originally, this program was designed to be a replacement for the MS paint program, but it has since evolved into a lot more.

I've played with it for a few minutes, and it is a beautiful program. It has a lot of the most commonly used features of programs like Photoshop and the GIMP in an easy to use interface. It's also amazingly fast; it typically takes about three seconds to load on my machine, compared with about two seconds for MS Paint to open.

Best of all, it is completely free. It's definitely worth a look.
