I took over a planet using mass driver attack. All the population was destroyed but I took the planet with some buildings. I cannot colonize the planet and their are no people. What can I do???

To clarify, the planet is owned by you now (it has your race's icon in the lower left corner)? And you have a population of zero because almost all of your troops were killed in the attack?

If so, moving a friendly troop transport or colony ship full of people into orbit should populate it.

If I'm misunderstanding, let me know!
