Ships and Planets Not Visible on Map

I launched my second game, and now all I see are icons for planets and ships, not the objects themselves. I've examined the Video Options to see if anything had been changed, but I don't believe so.

Windows XP Pro SP2

Geforce 6800 GS

AMD Athlon 64 3200+

1 GB Ram

Also, check your setting for Interface>Tactical Zoom Level. Make sure that it's set to the 50-ish range. If it's close to 0, the tactical zoom will always be on, where if it's around 100, all ships will ship up in polygon mode all the time (killing framerate).

It sounds like the value is close to 0 for you.
