Take 2 has told us that Galactic Civilizations II should be showing up today and the early days of this week at a store near you!

We're getting Galactic Civilizations II T-shirts in.  All the major civilizations get their own shirt.  The first 10 of these shirts are being reserved for the people who can post the best retail sighting of Galactic Civilizations II.

Here's how:

1) Find GalCiv II at a local retailer.

2) Take a picture

3) Post picture up in THIS THREAD.

4) Make sure you include where you were (city and which store).

We'll then pick out 10 of those pictures and send them a free T-shirt of the civilization of their choice.  

And most of all, have fun!

Heh, that's a good way to get kicked out of a store. Generally speaking they don't like that sort of thing, because they will think you work for a competitor, trying to get info on their prices

Darn...wish I would have learned about that sooner. I found my copy of all places at a Super Wal-Mart in Lenoir City, TN. There were only three copies, and since there wasn't any place for it reserved on the shelves (or maybe because they just got there & they didn't know what to do with it) it was stacked flat-side down in the "Value Games" section where they sell the "1001 PC games for $9.99" compilations. It would have made for an amusing picture...too bad I was only there for the weekend.

I will check again at the closest store (Fred Meyers) on Wednesday. My little podunk redneck town has more churches and bars then anything else. So it will take about 2 gallons of gas

Well, I saw 2 copies today at Best Buy, but I did not know about this thread until now (7:30 EST).

I live one hour away from the Best Buy (in a rather small town), so that picture I will be unable to get.

The Best Buy closest to me (thats like 35 miles away) said they will have it sometime before Wednesday but they only have 3 units coming in. What exactly is that suppose to mean? is 1 unit 1 copy? or is 1 unit like a box with more copies in it?

.....Galciv II just finally hit my local EB store, they were supposed to have brought in 4 copies or so but only recieved 2, The poor kid dint even have time to get them all stocked in and I had laid down the cash for *both* copies and left 10 bucks (5 bucks a copy) for a deposit to purchase the other 2 copies when they eventually arrive, great games make great gifts!

Had I seen this thread before hand, I woulda clicked a pic of me standing there looking over the kids shoulder while he was busily stocking the game into the computer database so I could pay for the game and get home and play it! heh heh

ahh well, Win some, ya lose some!

Well I sincerly hope that the distributors will ship to New Zealand.

I know that EB is an international buisiness and there is one 20 mins walk away..I'll try my luck there.

Why wait? Why not order online (like me here in Wellington) and get playing asap?

That said I believe Brad has stated that Auran are handling the Australasian distribution.

I was in Best Buy in Lakeland, FL on Sunday 02/26/06 and saw the game on the shelf. They only had one copy though. Sorry no pictures, I didn't know.

The point is I allready do have the game via Digital Download, How else would I have Metaverse tags at the end of every post?

The reason why I said that is because I want to take a shot at the prize.

Well, in my little town I went to the only store with hope of taking a picture at Wal-Mart, but they do not have any in stock. I even called the one a few towns over and they do not have any in stock yet either.
So, there is no real hope of getting a picture unless the little Wal-Mart was on the list to their (single) copy!
