No audio (fixed)

I initially purchased the game (with beta) online, and downloaded the beta through Stardock. The game had no audio, but I assumed this had something to do with it being a beta program.

Now that I've received my full key, and updated the program, I STILL do not have any audio. I've checked the settings in the main menu, and found all audio settings to be turned on.

Any suggestions?

I'm using an AMD 3800+ X2 CPU, SoundBlaster X-FI sound card....

Same problem here, except I never downloaded the beta. Realtek AC97 audio, but no sounds

Almost afraid to ask, but you did download the 'Multimedia' folder from SDC?

Yeah, it's up to date. .. v 1.0.042. I didn't have a choice to DL it.. it came on it's own.

can you check in the galciv2\music\
folder and see if theres any files there?

also, it might be worth archive the music, movie and tutorial file and do a complete reinstall if the problem still exist

The problem was resolved after I reinstalled Windows. Not sure what caused the original issue...
