Why I bought the game

Hi. My name is Mike and well I'd just like to say why I bought the game.

First off, how exactly did I hear about this game? One may imagine a pimply faced teenager reading a gaming magazine and reading an article about gal civ 2, or perhaps I heard it from my friends.

Well I actually heard about it from a webcomic. And that got me interested in the game, but didn't make me buy it.

No when i clicked the link what impressed me was the Dev Journal. How somebody was actually playing the game and not only pointing out many features, but showing how much hard work they put into it.

My intrest was peaked. I could sit down with dinner and read about somebody playing a strategy game. While roast beef tickled my tummy i could see the development of the A.I.

And so I bought the game due to the Dev Journal, and I would like to say thanks and also mention that your effort made me buy the game!

Toodles ^_^

I bought GC2 because I enjoyed GC.

GC was my first 4x game and not somethig I would typically buy. But I had picked up Stardock's desktop apps and was part of the WinCustomize community and believed in the company. I think that it's up to everyday people to support companies that do the right thing.

I loved the game. I honestly didn't play it as much as I would have liked. "Real" life was a higher priority.

I've gotten in three small games so far in GC2. I'm having a blast. And I'd like to think that my support of Stardock with the purchase of GC (and ODNT and WC and all the other misc stuff) helped make this game possible.

I bought it because the screenshots and the game description sucked me in, plus people talking about it on forums. And the fact that I could buy it direct from the developer and downlaod a DRM-free copy overnight.
That was cool, and despite the odd crash, its a great game, I'm really enjoying it.

I bought it because:

1) I loved GC1
2) I was diappointed in MoO3 and was hoping for this to be the spiritual successor to MoO2
3) 4x Space strategy games own all.
