CRASH BUG: Ship Design

Was designing a ship. When finished, I press "Save". Nothing happens. Try again. Nothing happens. Tried clicking just about everywhere else, which worked, but Save kept not working. Quit the designer, started again and designed my ship, and still Save wasn't working.
Then when I quit the designer, and quit the shipyard so I'm out on the starmap, there's the Save screen with description window. Press cancel, and it seems they've stacked up quite a bit. Press cancel on a few, then try saving one just to see what happens. Game crashes hard. Didn't think to save the debug information, but the last string in debug.err is:
Debug Message: Error. String Not Found. Table: SDesignWnd String Name: NoFilter

This has been reported over one the GalCivII Bug forum as well. To avoid it till the game is patched, make sure all popup windows are closed before opening the ship designer. Not known if this is a guaranteed fix or just wishful thinking, but so far it has worked.

Happens with deleting designs as well.
