Recolouring Toolbar icons?

I'd like to try my hand at recolouring a set of simple one-colour Toolbar icons to match a particular skin. So, I need to know:

1) What program to use to do the recolouring, e.g., PaintShop Pro, Animation Shop, SkinStudio, IconDeveloper????

2) What file(s) are effected? e.g., must each individual set (Explorer Large/Large Hot, etc.) be recoloured or can you simply open up the main xxxx.toolbaricon file and recolour the entire bunch?

3) Hints for doing this would also be appreciated.

THANKS

Any program that recolors will work (paint shop pro). Do them individually. Open skinstudio and edit them from there.

We should add a new forum section titled: Attn. Night Train I need WB/Skinstudio help.

Oh and what are you doing here NT, don't you have a WB skin to finish off.

Thanks oh great "Swarmed One"! hehe I do appreciate you taking the time to reply. However, when you have the opportunity (or anyone else) can you be a little more detailed in what this "editing" is comprised of? I was able to recolour the various parts of a Toolbaricon set. But I haven't a clue what to do next with them; especially in SkinStudio.

THANKS!!

ok, skip skinstudio. The easiest way is to open the skin folder in windows explorer. Find the individual icon strip images. Right click ...select open with paint shop pro. Do your recoloring...save. When you apply the skin you will see the changes. Do that for the 12 icon strips.

In Skinstudio... do you have paint shop pro set as your default image editor? If yes then you can just edit the icon images the same way. If you don't have PSP set as the image editor, open skinstudio, go to TOOLS...PREFERENCES.. Then go to image editors in the preferences window. Click add...find paint shop pro and move it to the top of the list. Save and now your all set.
