Auto turn not working as intended? And map rotation

I have auto turn enabled and it doesnt seem to be working as intended...
I remember when playing the GC1 with auto turn enabled you could use up all your moves in a turn then select the ship again and tell it to move then it would end turn automatically and start moving the ship again....
With auto turn on as it is now you i cannot seem to do that.
AS for map rotation should there be an option to disable return to default view?
I rotate my map with the middle mouse button but when i let go it returns back to the default view? i dont like looking at my fleet and planets from that angle... can i change it and leave it where i want it?
