I'm thinking of actually taking the easy way out of my current game, or rather the quickest to get it done. Alliance is the only other option I leave open though, and that's not always easy to get.

On the bright side, I'm about to get a state-of-the-art computer and thus will be able to crank up the graphics and AI options to the max. What's the latest count of habitable planets on gigantic all abundant again? Now if only I could buy the time to play as well - I'm sure it'll be interesting to play the first real game since 1.31...

I had 505 on my last huge abundant all.
I think mag has been seeing ~800 on the gig abundant alls...

DL hasn't changed. 465 plus/minus 10 planets.

1.31 was harsh. I think 1.4 DL may still be my favorite revision. If you go to DA, it will be a bit of a shock.

Started my first DA gig this morning. 12 hours into the game.

130 something planets on Sept 2228, not bad for a different play plan and no wars.

In case you hadn't noticed our empire medal seems to have changed colors    . My game probably won't be through till next weekend. Bad thing is I think I'm behind where I was at this point in my last gig. game. Hopefully it will still produce a decent score. Soldier on Diplomats    .

So how re the diplomats taking their defeat?

My game is getting along fairly well...But the idea of managing 900 planetary builds is headache inducing. I already know that I will not get to hit the turn button the next time I load the game!

I don't have a final count on mine yet, but it could easily be in that range. I'll post a total count once I get far enough along to not need to count planets by hand.

Currently I'm playing the DA campaign at a moderate pace just to get known to the new features - and the story, which I like.

Sooner or later I'll come back to the sandbox mode, first thing will probably be a Human-Drengin match against a maxed AI just to see how it turns out. Unfortunately there isn't much gaming time left after work with two almost daily PBEMs and a weekly MP game...

Oddly, I have never played the DL or the DA campaign. I really should do that!
