Graphics Ghosting bug

Ok say i have a ship, and i alt tab out, sometimes, when i attack an enemy and move to a different tile, the image of my fleet stays on the tile i moved from, it is not selectable, and is just a graphical anomaly, however its getting to the point where i have a lot of fake fleets showing on my screen.

I alt-tab a lot, so i think this maybe has caused it.

My graphics card is a GeForce 5900xt 128Mb, i have 2Gb memory, Althon XP 64 3.4 CPU. Latest Nvidia drivers.
Also sometimes when alt-tabbing im getting a "invalid call" error in a popup box, which then shuts down my game.

Yeah, alt-tabbing tends to mess with DirectX games, for now, I would suggest not doing it, see if that helps.

I believe they suggest running it in windowed mode if you plan on switching to other applications a lot.

I would suggest running the game in a window, I use several applications at once as well and having the game in a window gets rid of a host of graphical problems (at least for me).

ditto on the windows mode comment /w lol (maybe updated drivers too?)

To run in windowed mode, pass in the 'w' command line parameter as part of the shortcut.

Example..."C:\Program Files\Stardock\TotalGaming\GalCiv2\galciv2.exe" w

There's also an option under Video on the options screen, which requires a restart. You can run in a window at your desktop resolution and it will be almost the same as playing in fullscreen.

Thx. Seems okay running in a window. Not ideal, but better than the bugs

Windowed mode is nice if you want to be able to play a game and do other things at the same time. Specaily if you have a high res moniture. I have been running a 1600x900 window on my 1920 x 1200 screen and it works great.
