wb5 - shellstyle unofficial section - what is it for?

I'm a new skinner and just designing my first WB5 skin...

Ok - here's the real question. I don;t know what the 'Shellstyle (unofficial)' section in SkinStudio. There are three sub sections - 'additional images', 'embedded strings' and 'blah blah low level blah'.

Anyone tell me what those sections are for?

I thank you.

Huh? New skinner? OK.

Wish I knew myself. Maybe something they plan to support, whatever it is?

You can use it to overwrite the task panels / Control Panel / do not modify this folder sections in a WB skin,
adding UIFILE's you can customize more things like fonts, the text colors (like the text of the details task panel and the Do Not Modify This Folder section) , redesign the task panels to make it on top, on botton, on right, hide, move items (images or text) and many more.

If You look some of my skins like iFlex, 5imple, elsdee, neOS NeoShell, they use this custom UIFILE's

OBS: to edit the UIFILE's you have to open it with a text editor and change the settings by hand, be careful when edit it or you can crash your system. If you open the UIFILE's from my skins i left some comments to help.

What a helpful chap. Thanks danilloOc.

I might leave that until I've made a few more skins...

Likewise, danillo - thanks. I will indeed take a look at those skins.

Perhaps then, here would be a good place to ask why the thin horizontal shellstyles seen in some vista themes and others causes a parse error in control panel category view, and only allows classic view. Has anyone had this problem? WHne you import the shell, it works in the visual style but not in WB so there must be some problem in the conversion...but what?

Anyone help?
