No Space Monsters.

I got a warning about Space Monsters never seen them though. I wonder if some sort of lack of Space
Monster files caused some crashes.

Fixed in today's version.

Here's the problem:

Space monsters have no planet. So the game kills them off.

That gives me an idea. Can the space monsters have a home planet. Something like a Hive Planet with a queen. Then if you take over the Hive Planet and supposedly kill the queen, the rest of the colony would die.

I know I am not talking about a single entity space monster, and I don't know if this would work. It almost sounds like a minor race. But there would be no interaction with them and their only goal would be to destroy everything, or something like that.

Kinda rambling I know, but there's something in there that could be good!

I have been thinking the same thing for ages.

Aliens!

the classic bit of late 20th century cinema - translated into the best x4 space odysey ever.

Everyone is scared of Aliens. The Aliens.

Their strength -the hive
Their weakness the hive

absolute fantasy joy on tap available.

I think that the space monsters are a bit too powerful! I had one hanging around my area of space and generally harrassing me. It took out 2 nearly fully upgraded star bases and had hardly a scratch on itself. They shouldn't be able to take out star bases so easily especially upgraded ones.

I think the space monsters are good as they are, space monster vs one star base with lighnting & Avatar, almost no scratch on the base and a vaporized shark. Thats even too easy, I expected more.
What about destroying randomly modules when the HP of a base falls below a certain threshold ?

Cheers,
