Hi, first I would like to say that I love this game and want very badly for it to succeed.
In playing 30 hours so far, these are my main UI requests/issues.
1) Allow me to turn on/off power and autosupply to all my buildings from the resource bar on the left side of the screen (Or some other more direct means, I read in another post that you were considering some kind of toggleable meta building overlay and I believe such a feature would fit well there)
2) In the same vein, some kind of minimap with resources shown. Currently I am using the hotkeys for water pumps, mines and quarries to locate sources, however a minimap would be very nice. I understand that the screen is very cluttered as it is, but just something like a hotkey to bring up a toggleable minimap would be great.
3) Improved tooltip text. Particularly indicating what hotkeys are for claim (c) and pause the game in single player (spacebar) when you mouseover those buttons would be a great help, it took me awhile to figure those out and I use claim all the time and enjoy pausing the game to interact with chat when I stream and also to figure out various mechanics and test things.
4) Improved engineering lab feedback, the behavior was not at all obvious to me for derived resources (e.g. steel, chemicals), in that the text just says 25% faster (I believe), however mousing over the buildings show that I get a 25% increase in my produced materials, WHILE KEEPING MY INPUTS THE SAME, which is much better than just using more and producing more in order to get a 25% increase, but not at all obvious.
5) Make it easier to see offworld prices before having an offworld market. Mousing over the price to see the offworld price is slow and rather frustrating.
6) Could consider hiding or minimizing the black market when it is offline to reduce screen clutter. (I do take note of prices and what I plan to purchase, but that takes about a 2 second glance, and after that, I only care about the timer.
Glitch:
Mouseover for the power rate in some cases produces text that goes up off the screen instead of down (this was on the latest patch), I tested again in another game and it behaved properly, but in the incident below it went off the screen. By the way, does an inactive research lab consume power?
