Hi, anyways, love this game, I hope it does well. However here are a few things that bug me and what I would like to suggest to.
1) Offworld trade - I'm actually fine for it being the finisher kinda thing, however I feel that right now it is sort of detached from the whole economy in mars. You always a few resources so much more expensive, that you just sell them and the price in mars doesn't become the problem. In the meanwhile you have iron/alumininium and all the other resources being under 10 bucks in the mars market.
So, my suggestion is, that make the prices that you sell to earth more down to 150 - 350 per unit, where above 250 can only be for the most luxury products like chems and microchips, but instead increase the bulk size to 250. That makes it much harder to ship the value goods meaning you have much more varience in the late game strategy as the prices of the top products grows up, being a powerhouse miner can be a strategy sort of, as you share outproduce the speed at which things are being shipped to off-world.
2) I saw this discussion in one of your multiplayer games aswell, basically, when a player buyouts other player his stock price actually decreases, this makes absolutely no sense and can cause this sort of a deadlock among 3 players, where whoever buyouts one player first, guarantees a win for the third unaffected party. As I see the whole game is about making good financial decisions to make as big of a profit as possible, so it basically becomes a race to a certain amount of money to buyout the other.
So, the suggestion has 2 parts, first, whenever you buyout another player, your stock prices increases as if for buying that many parts as the buyout required. Second part is, that whoever owned some of the parts of that company (third partys), they are refunded for their stock, so you can actually make quite a nice profit from buying stock that is gonna get bought.
3) More clarity to colony, how much does it consume resources per second? Also does colonys use resources like steel and aluminium when expanding aswell, if it not, maybe it should, also if resources become really cheap then colonies might start consuming them for whatever aswell?
Also I'd suggest that colony can change it's behaviours, for example, if power prices drop really low they start consuming it much more, and when it grow really high, they start consuming less than optimum, basically making it so that unless something is completely overproduced or underproduced, the price of it doesn't fluctuate like from 1 dollar to 700, but more from 15-80 (for electriicity for example). Maybe it already is so, but it is really hard to tell what is going on from the colony point of view.
Thanks for reading, and good luck have fun!
